Principal

Sherilyn has been passionate about the performing arts from a very young age and started her dancing journey at Cardwell Theatre school in South Manchester before going on to train professionally in Musical Theatre at Performance Preparation Academy in Guildford. After graduating, she enjoyed successes in the performing arts industry, including productions onboard Silja Line and Viking Line cruises and festive shows with Polka Dot Pantomimes, Paul Holman Associates and Jamie Wilson productions.

Sherilyn also had the opportunity to further her training with two renowned children’s theatre companies: ‘Little Angel Theatre’ on their Puppetry Foundation Course, and ‘Oily Cart’ creating theatre for young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

Alongside training and working as a professional performer, Sherilyn has enjoyed building a very rewarding career in childcare and teaching. Over the last 10 years she has taught dance, drama and singing to children of all ages from newly walking to preparing for university! Sharing her passion is something Sherilyn loves doing and her experience as a teacher has allowed her to see first-hand the incredible impact performing arts classes have on kids of all ages.

Sherilyn joined the Boogie Pumps family in 2012 and has never looked back! Boogie Pumps have such a positive ethos, celebrating individuality and encouraging everyone be THEIR best, not THE best – something Sherilyn truly believes in. She can’t wait to bring the Boogie Pumps sparkle to South East London!
